‘inspiring our children to understand the needs of others’

Good Shepherd International School believes that a community thrives best when everyone in the community makes positive contributions and effort towards building a healthy and happy environment.

We inspire our children to understand the needs of others, so that we can work together and complement one another. We nurture and develop the values of love and compassion in our students. We also encourage our children to reach out to the larger community through our welfare programmes.

Our Students Government Association (SGA) comprising representatives from various sections of the school, undertakes periodic charity visits to orphanages, hospitals and schools in rural and peri-urban areas to offer support through the provision of food, clothing, books and other household items. These items are donated directly or bought with funds donated by our parents, students and staff.

Some of the places we have visited include: Tilinanu Orphans Care, Harlema Orphan’s Care, Chisomo Children’s Club, and the Paediatric Ward at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe.
